The Postscript is a monthly postcard subscription created from my own photographs of Sicily.
Every postcard begins with something I saw here. I take the photograph, turn it into a postcard, write a few words on the back and send it from Sicily to you.
It might be a view from the farm, a village street, a market, the coastline or simply something that caught my eye while I was exploring the island.

What will arrive?
One postcard, once a month.
On the front will be one of my own photographs, taken somewhere in Sicily and turned into a postcard especially for The Postscript. I do not choose pictures from a souvenir rack. Every image shows somewhere I have actually been, something I have seen or a moment I wanted to keep and share.
The view might come from the farm, a village I have wandered through, a Palermo market, a stretch of coastline or a quiet corner discovered while travelling around the island.
On the back will be a few words from me, written by hand rather than typed. It might be a small observation, something that happened that day or simply a thought I wanted to share with you.
No envelope. No extras. Nothing tucked inside.

Who is this postcard subscription for?
It’s for people who love getting postcards from faraway places.
It’s for those who don’t want to read a letter several pages long. They would rather read a handwritten intimate note to them from someone across the waters.
There is a photograph from somewhere, a stamp in the corner, and someone else’s handwriting on the back. You turn it over before you have even closed the letterbox.
The Postscript is for anyone who would enjoy finding a little piece of Sicily among all the ordinary things.
Perhaps you collect postcards. Perhaps you love Sicily. Or perhaps you simply miss the days when a postcard arrived because someone, somewhere, thought of you.
That is the whole idea: a postcard from Sicily, from me to you, with a few handwritten lines on the back.
How does it work?
Your postcard leaves Sicily on the first Monday of every month, as regular as clockwork — just like the letters.
The journey to you, however, runs on Sicilian time.
This is real snail mail, sent from an island in the Mediterranean, and international post does not always hurry itself.
Your first postcard can feel like the longest wait. But once they’re making their way from Sicily to you every month, another will already be beginning its journey while you’re enjoying the last.
If you live in the USA or further afield, please allow 4–6 weeks for your postcard to reach you. Sometimes it will arrive sooner; occasionally, it may take a little longer. On average, our USA mail reaches our subscribers within 3 weeks.
I post everything on schedule here in Sicily, but once it begins its journey, the timing is in the hands of the postal services.
And perhaps that’s part of the charm.
No tracking. No next-day delivery. No notification telling you it’s three stops away.
