What will arrive in your envelope?
A letter from Sicily
At the heart of every envelope is a letter of three or four pages about real life on the island. I write about the places I visit, the people I meet, local traditions, food, history and the small dramas of living here.
Every letter is written in Sicily, individually signed and finished with a wax seal.
Two Sicilian recipe cards
Sicilian recipes reflect centuries of history carried forward into the present. We hope you will try these out and share them with friends and family.
The cards are designed to be collected, cooked from, and kept as your own growing Sicilian recipe collection.
Three Sicilian-Styled stickers
Each month, you will receive three stickers inspired by the island’s places, traditions, wildlife, food and everyday life.
Use them in a journal, add them to letters and scrapbooks, or simply collect them.
A collectable Sicilian card
Discover a Sicilian word, proverb or superstition and the story behind it. Each card reveals another small piece of the island’s character and culture.
A postcard
Your postcard will feature one of my own photographs taken somewhere on the island. Keep it, display it or send it to someone else.
A journal prompt
Each envelope includes a travel-inspired journal prompt, giving you something thoughtful, amusing or imaginative to write about.
Paper and ephemera
You will also receive paper pieces inspired by Sicily and the Mediterranean for scrapbooking or junk journaling. Occasionally, I may include a postage stamp among the ephemera.
Plus a small mystery gift
There will also be one small surprise inside your envelope. Listing it here would rather spoil the mystery. However, we have posted bookmarks, postage stamps, paper activities and trinkets in the past.

The pleasure of The Collector’s Post from our snail mail club does not end when you have read the letter. The recipes can be cooked, the postcard displayed, and the stickers, cards and papers added to journals, scrapbooks or memory boxes.
As the months pass, your collection grows into a personal archive of Sicilian stories, food, places and traditions. Every envelope brings something new to read and several things to keep.

It is for readers who want more than a subscription box filled with unrelated objects. Everything inside is connected to Sicily and to the story being told that month.
International delivery times vary. Letters to the USA can take between three and six weeks to arrive.
